For the love of sports
The thrill of competition, the spirit of camaraderie, the joy of winning: nothing brings us together like sports. The power of athletes to inspire greatness in young and old alike is unmatched.
But it costs time, sacrifice, and dedication to perform at an elite level.
That’s why we’re honoured to support Canadian athletes, from hometown heroes to international medalists. When our country takes gold anywhere in the world, the good grows even more back home.

More support for Canadian Paralympians and Olympians
Paralympians and Olympians work hard, and when Canadians medal, you can hear the roar from coast to coast to coast.
In recent years, donors in other countries had launched programs to recognize medallists with financial prizes above and beyond what these athletes received from their governments. We wondered, “why don’t we do this in Canada?” So, since the 2020 Summer Paralympic and Olympic games in Tokyo, we’ve awarded $5,000 to every medallist: 53 Paralympians and 130 Olympians so far and counting.
This partnership inspired a further $100,000 donation to the Canadian Olympic Foundation’s Next Generation initiative—the “podium pipeline”—to foster greatness in our future athletes.
And we're committed to doing it again! In May 2024, we announced the Team Canada Podium Awards which will award every Team Canada medalist at the Paris 2024 and Milano-Cortina 2026 games with $5,000.
This generous gift will play a pivotal role in empowering Canada's finest athletes as they work towards reaching more podiums in Paris and Milan-Cortina.

Putting Paralympians on the podium
Historically, Canadian Paralympians have not received the same financial recognition as Olympians, including the recognition that’s offered for medallists. To us, there’s no reason why rewards for podium performance should be any different between Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
The Malaviya Foundation has partnered with the Paralympic Foundation of Canada and the federal government to create the “Paralympic Performance Recognition” program—a fund for these elite athletes, ensuring Canadian Paralympians are always recognized for medalling at the same level as their Olympian counterparts. Starting at Paris 2024, and continuing in future, Canada’s Paralympic medallists will receive equal rewards to their Olympic counterparts: $20,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze.
We’re supremely stoked that our Paralympians are taking on the world and being recognized like never before.
